Kim Jong-un Appalled at Latest Love Island Scandal
Pyongyang, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea – In a rare public outburst, Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has expressed profound disgust at the unfolding chaos in the British reality television programme Love Island All Stars, calling it “a decadent bourgeois cesspool that threatens the moral fibre of the entire world.”
Sources close to the Dear Leader report that Kim, an avid viewer of Western trash television via secret satellite feeds, was left “visibly shaken” after witnessing the latest villa scandal: a contestant allegedly “holding back” from grafting because he is secretly waiting for his ex to enter as a bombshell. “This is not love!” Kim reportedly thundered during a private screening in the opulent Ryongsong Residence. “This is counter-revolutionary indecency! Where is the loyalty? Where is the eternal devotion to one partner?”
The Supreme Leader, who has long admired the disciplined coupling-up process of North Korean arranged marriages, described the islanders’ behaviour as “worse than American imperialism.” He was particularly appalled by reports of a messy love triangle involving Scott, who publicly called out the drama, and the subsequent storming off of another contestant during a recoupling announcement. “In the DPRK, we do not storm off,” Kim declared. “We march forward in unity, or we are sent to re-education camps for reflection.”
Kim has now demanded an immediate international investigation into the show’s “fix rows,” where fans claim certain couples are being edited out on purpose. “This is psychological warfare disguised as entertainment!” he fumed. “They manipulate hearts like the West manipulates elections. The villa must be liberated!”
In response, the North Korean state broadcaster KCNA has begun airing a new propaganda series, Eternal Coupling: Juche Island, featuring loyal citizens selecting partners based on ideological purity and missile proficiency. Viewers are encouraged to report any “Love Island sympathisers” to local authorities.
The Supreme Leader concluded his tirade by vowing to send a strongly worded letter to ITV bosses: “Cease this filth, or face the consequences of our invincible revolutionary spirit… and perhaps a few test launches.”
